Russian President On Legal Standards In Europe

The common goal of European justice is "strict and full adherence to legal standards fixed in the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Main Freedoms," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, opening a Kremlin meeting with the justice ministers of European Council member countries. "Territories on which civilized law does not work become 'terrorist offshore zones'," the Russian president said. He emphasized that it is from them that "the threat of terrorism comes, and not only to neighbouring countries, but to the whole world."
