Russia Expects To Receive $7Bn In Revenues From Projects With Iran

Russia may earn a maximum of $7bn over the next five years from joint projects with Iran, the head of the Center for coordination of Russian-Iranian programs announced at a press conference in Moscow today. He reported that the volume of annual profits from supplies of Russian arms to Iran will reach about $300m. He also noted that Iran will be in third place in imports of Russian arms after India and China in the event the two countries implement all agreements signed during the visit of the Iranian Defense Minister to Moscow. At present Russia and Iran are negotiating contracts on supplying Su-27 and Su-30 fighters, Ka-50 and Ka-52 helicopters and T-90 tanks.
