European Union To Speak Up On Russia's Entry Into Wto

By November of this year the European Union will prepare a statement on a procedure for Russia's entry into the World Trade Organisation. This was said to journalists by Russian Vice-Premier Victor Khristenko with reference to his negotiating partners from the European Union. Khristenko said that the Brussels summit has set format and time schedule for a working group to form a single economic space. The vice-premier reported that the working group will gather for its first sitting in November of 2001. Work will be done in the official format rather than at the expert level, he said.
