Finance Ministry Earmarks About $103M For Payments On State Bonds

The Russian Finance Ministry has earmarked about 3.04bn rubles, or $103m for payments on GKO state bonds, the ministry's department for domestic debt management announced today. In particular, 3bn rubles ($102m) will be spent to redeem the GKO-T-Bills of issue No. 21148. In addition, 41.48m rubles ($1.41m) were allocated for the repayment of the first coupon of OFZ federal loan bonds issue No 26164. These payments will be conducted on October 3, 2001. On the same day the Finance Minister will conduct an auction and float more GKO bonds worth 5bn rubles (about $170m).
