Russian-tajik Military-technical Cooperation At Appropriate Level

Ongoing military-technical cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia stands at an appropriate level, according to the appraisal of Tajik Foreign Minister Tolbak Nazarov, which Tajik Foreign Ministry spokesman Igor Sattarov said the Minister gave to a group of visiting Russian lawmakers. Vladimir Lukin, Deputy Speaker of Russia's lower house of parliament, the State Duma, led the delegation. Sattarov said issues of the military-political situation in Afghanistan featured prominently on the meeting's agenda, as did the possible implications of the developments in the country for its Central Asian neighbors.
