YUKOS Intends To Supply 10M Tons Of Oil To China In 5 Years

The YUKOS Oil Company intends to supply at least 10 million tons of oil to China through a pipeline that the company is laying now in five years, Nikolai Bychkov, president of the YUKOS-RM company, said at a news conference today. According to him, the company is also considering a number of alternative projects of oil transportation. Thus, 1.5 million tons of oil will be supplied to China by rail before the end of this year. Additionally, according to Bychkov, the company is now looking for new markets for oil refining abroad. The possibility of buying shares in oil refining enterprises in a number of countries, including Slovakia, Czechia, Germany, Poland and Croatia, is also being considered.
