Kosovo - Chaos

The Albanian Mafia continues to cause chaos on the province’s borders with Yugoslavia. Overt smuggling takes place under the gaze of Kfor troops.

Under the administration of the UNO, the situation in Kosovo has become steadily worse and results today in chaos, with US-armed Albanian Mafia turning the border regions of Kosovo into bandit country.

The formerly ordered situation imposed by the government of Slobodan Milosevic has given way to a situation which is now spreading to Milo Djukanovic’s feud, Montenegro, and the Republika Srpska in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Vladan Begovic, the Federal Customs Director, declared in Belgrade on November 1st that the status of Kosovo must be solved. It is apparent that the international peacekeeping force (Kfor) is either too inept, too afraid or too involved to change the situation.

The Albanian daily Koha Ditore (Daily News) reports that 100 tonnes of smuggled petrol enter Kosovo every week from Montenegro at a point only 200 metres from a manned Kfor checkpoint.
