Russian Customs, Kaliningrad Region Administration To Boost Kaliningrad's Economic Ties

This week, the Russian customs authorities and the Kaliningrad region administration will sign a plan to remove administrative obstacles to the economic ties between the Kaliningrad Region -- a westernmost semi-enclave of Russia-- and the rest of Russia's territory. The plan will stimulate the development of new production lines in the Kaliningrad region and make it less expensive and time-consuming for Russian goods to be transported from the Kaliningrad region to other Russia's regions. The document will also encourage freight flow to European countries via the Kaliningrad transportation system and create more favourable conditions for the foreign trade participants.
