Federal Budget Executed With 1bn-dollar Surplus In October

The federal budget for October 2001 was executed with a 29.7bn-ruble (about $1bn) surplus. This makes 26.2% of the total volume of budget expenditures, and 3.5% of the GDP forecasted for October. According to preliminary estimations, the GDP reached 857bn rubles (about $28.9bn) in October, the PR department of the Russian Finance Ministry reported to RosBusinessConsulting.
