Andrei Cherkasov: Enlightenment without light?

Some institutions of the educational system have been introduced to black list of Volgograd region’s energy suppliers. Secondary schools are being accused of excessive consuming of electricity.

PRAVDA.Ru learned that the Education Committee of the Volgograd Central District’s administration launched an investigation of secondary schools concerning the rational consuming of electric power.

The investigation was launched because of numerous complaints with some schools consuming electricity without remorse, while the Education Committee must count every kopeck. As a result of the investigation, the “culprits” will be punished. However, I wonder how the school directors who did not want to freeze the children in cold classrooms and started to independently heat the rooms and not to wait until the common heating season started will be punished? At least school teachers do not temper steel in schools! Besides, cutting off the electricity could be an unpleasant surprise for the pupils before the New Year. According to a Russian proverb, enlightenment is light, though this light cannot help to switch on a computer.
