Bush offers Ramadan dinner

For the first time, a Ramadan dinner is offered by the White House to ambassadors of Islamic countries.

The President of the USA offered a Ramadan dinner on November 19th to a group of 50 ambassadors from Moslem countries. He took the opportunity to thank them for their support in the campaign against terrorism and explained that the conflict was continuing into Ramadan because “the terrorists do not have faith and evil does not respect holy days”.

He declared that the campaign was proceeding so that peace could be reached more quickly.

Ambassadors from Iraq, Iran, Libya and the Sudan were not invited because the USA has broken diplomatic relations with these countries.
