Green Plantations Cover 30 Percent Of Moscow Area

The territory under green plantations have increased in Moscow this year by 260 hectares. As part of the tree-planting programme, over 48,000 trees and over 212,000 bushes have been planted in the city, the Moscow government reported. Moscow parks, public gardens and boulevards currently cover 45,000 hectares, or 30 percent of the city's total area. A Moscow government official said this was "a good figure" for such a megalopolis.
