Russian Parliament To Consider Final Version Of Draft Federal Budget For 2002 November 30

The State Duma (lower parliamentary house) committee for the budget and taxes recommends to pass the third, final, reading of the draft federal budget for 2002 November 30. At its November 27 session the State Duma Council will make a decision to include the issue on the agenda of the house plenary session scheduled for November 30. Given the current line-up in the State Duma, no less than 260 deputies are expected to vote for the draft budget with the required 226 votes. President Vladimir Putin of Russia expects the deputies to pass the draft federal budget for 2002 this week.
