Top Managers Of Sibur Detained

SIBUR head Yakov Goldovsky and chairman of the board of directors Vyacheslav Sheremet have been detained within the framework of a criminal case filed by the Russian General Prosecutor's Office against this petrochemical company. RBC received this information in the department for information and public relations of the General Prosecutor's Office. In addition, a source in the police informed RBC that SIBUR Vice President Yevgeny Koshits was detained as well. It is worth mentioning that the General Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case against SIBUR for the illegal sale of assets worth 2.6bn rubles (about $85m). The criminal case was filed on the basis of an application of the Gazprom leadership about activities of SIBUR that had illegally sold Gazprom's assets in subsidiaries. As we reported earlier, investigators conducted a search in Gazprom's subsidiaries yesterday.
