Ice Jams Threaten Two Factories In Kamchatka

Specialists of the local civil defense and emergencies departments started blasting operations in the Kamchatka region. The level of water is the Bystraya river and Bolshoi Vilyuy lake reached a critical level due to ice jams. Specialists reported the that ice blocking of a part of the lake led to a 2-meter rise in the water level in other parts of the lake. These high water levels are threatening to wash away a car bridge and flood two factories.
