Business meetings between Brazilian and Petersburg firms are taking place now in the St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. According to the information of the Chamber's press service, the Brazilian delegation consists of representatives of thirteen firms. In the main they are suppliers of meat (beef, pork and poultry). Apart from that, taking part in the negotiations are representatives of furniture, perfumery and cosmetic firms and also of the companies producing ceramic tiles, equipment for television communications and electrical equipment. The arrival of the Brazilian delegation in St.Petersburg has aroused a great interest in the local industrial quarters. The meeting, which is now going on in the form of individual negotiations, is attended by representatives of sixty-three Petersburg firms, part of which have already been working with Brazilian business. The Brazilian delegation will stay in Petersburg for one day. On Monday evening the Brazilian businessmen will leave for Moscow where they will join the delegation of the President of their country.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced the termination of diplomatic relations with NATO at a time when US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin ended a meeting in Georgia with his counterpart
