Arbitration Court To Hear NTV's Petition To Protect Its Rights To NTV.RU Trademark

The Moscow Arbitration Court will hear the lawsuit filed by the NTV Company against RosNIIRos (the Registrar's Office for domain names on the Internet) to protect the TV company's exclusive rights to the ntv.ru trademark. The lawsuit was taken into consideration on November 26, 2001. Earlier the Moscow Arbitration court considered a number of lawsuits filed by NTV against the TV-6 television to protect ownership rights and to ban the use of its trademarks as names of some of the programs of TV-6. Some of the court cases were won by NTV, and amicable agreements were reached in the other lawsuits.
