The volume of alcohol production amounted to 131.3m decalitres in Russia in 2001, which is 7.2% more compared to 2000, the National Alcohol Association reported to RosBusinessConsulting. 15.9m decalitres were produced in December 2001. According to officials of the association, the fourth quarter of 2001 was a record quarter in the volume of alcohol production in our country, estimated as equal to 43.6m decalitres.
