Gazprom Reports Plans On Gas Production In 2002

The Russian gas giant Gazprom is going to produce no less than 530 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2002, Gazprom's head Alexey Miller announced at the opening of the exhibition The Fuel and Energy Industry of Russia: the Strategy of Growth. The exhibition is being held in the State Duma. He noted that the most strategically important region of Russia for Gazprom is the Yamalo-Nenets region. In addition, Miller stated that Gazprom is going to increase the capacity of the Zapolyarnoye gas field to the planned 100 billion cubic meters. Finally, Gazprom is going to export more than 125 billion cubic meter of natural gas in 2002, Alexey Miller announced.
