Putin Asked To Interfere In Situation With Mosenergo

Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to interfere in the situation with the Mosenergo energy grid, a source in the Mayor's Office reported to RosBusinessConsulting. Luzhkov wrote in a letter to Putin that new Mosenergo's head Arkady Yevstafyev "is not experienced in solving energy problems." It is worth mentioning that on September 10, 2001, Mosenergo shareholders voted for an early dismissal of previous General Director Alexander Remezov. And Yevstafyev was appointed as the Acting General Director.
