Russian President Held A Meeting With Former Chairman Of The Pardons Commission

On Friday Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting in the Kremlin with writer Anatoly Pristavkin, the former chairman of the Presidential Pardons Commission. The Pardons commission was abolished recently in accordance with the Presidential decree. After the meeting Pristavkin reported to journalists that the President thanked members of the commission for their ten-year work and expressed his readiness "to make use of the potential accumulated by the commission", "its grandiose experience", both international and domestic. According to Pristavkin, forms of using the experience of the abolished commission would be determined in the course of his meetings with "President's advisers and aides".
