Vladimir Putin On Possibility To Move State Federal Structures From Moscow To Other Cities

Vladimir Putin has come out for the possibility to move several state federal structures from Moscow to other big cities, for instance, to St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. But, of course, the capital will not be moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Vladimir Putin said. Answering a live question, the President stressed that some foreign countries such as Germany and France have an experience of stationing some state structures in big cities. According to Putin, it helps to increase business and real estate market activity and, consequently, to increase the city budget. St. Petersburg's income are not sufficient to maintain its historical and architectural monuments, the President stressed. "The palaces, museums and parks" of St. Petersburg belong to all Russians and "the Federation should maintain them," Putin said.
