. This figure exceeded the last year results by 20 million tonnes (by 30%). Gordeyev especially mentioned that last time such harvests were gathered in the beginning of the 90s when material and technical base in Russia was better and areas under crops covered 12 million hectares more (or 25 % more) than at present. Also in the current year they achieved a record-breaking food grains yield in Russia: 19.3 centners per hectare. According to the minister's information, this year they also managed to stop the process of decreasing of areas under crops. Moreover, their territory in Russia increased by 2 million hectares.
