Nickel Export Tariffs May Be Reconsidered Today

A commission of the Russian government responsible for preventive measures in the foreign trade, customs and tariff policies will consider the possibility of reducing nickel export tariffs from 5% to 2.5% today. An official of the commission headed by Deputy Premier, Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin reported this in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting. The new tariff rate is supposed to be introduced for six months. In addition, the commission may reconsider the current tariff rates for some ferrous metal products.
