Oil exports will be retained at a volume equal to the capacity of the oil transportation system, Russian Energy Minister Igor Yusufov told journalists at a briefing in the House of Government. "Currently there are some restrictions on pumping oil through the Transneft system, the minister admitted. According to him, this is due to some technical problems.
"At present the transportation infrastructure "is functioning at the limit of its capacity", Yusufov stressed. That is why today's government meeting devoted to the development of the oil and gas sector of Eastern Siberia and the Far East and an April meeting, which is to be about the development of this sector in Western Siberia, "are aimed at the soonest adoption of decisions concerning the development of the pipeline sector", he added.
