North Korea Wants to Set up Joint Ventures on Kamchatka

North Korea is interested in creating joint ventures on Kamchatka. This interest was expressed in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky by participants of the North Korean Foreign Trade Ministry's delegation headed by Director General of the Korean Foreign Trade Society Jang Chang Mok.

Head of the Industrial Policy Department Vladimir Obukhov believes the delegation is interested in creating joint ventures to develop the peninsula's fish resources, ore and mineral deposits as well as to use Kamchatka's thermal spas in full.

Proposals made by the Korean Foreign Trade Society representatives are worthy of notice and detailed study as they can be of significant use to the Kamchatka region's economic development.
