Over 2 bln roubles to Be Spent on Chechnya's Energy Facilities Reconstruction in 2003

2.315 bln roubles (over $60 mln) will be spent on reconstruction of the Chechen Republic's energy facilities in 2003, Andrei Rappoport, Deputy President of OAO RAO UES Rossii, announced at a press conference in RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

The funds will also cover development works and construction of common amenities. 530 mln roubles are to be allotted for reconstruction of Vladikavkaz - Grozny - Chir-Yurt transmission facilities. No consumers are faced with electric energy problems in Chechnya today, Rappoport pointed out. The priority task is to provide no-break power. The construction of the Argun heat power plant is to be continued, Rappoport added.
