Surgutneftegaz reports oil output in January 2003

Surgutneftegaz' oil output grew 12 percent to 4.419m tons in January 2003 against 3.946m tons reported in the similar period 2002, the company's press service reported. The company's gas output was posted at 1.21bn cubic meters in January 2003, while in January 2002 the gas output of 1.06bn cubic meters was reported (an increase of 14 percent). Surgutneftegaz put into operation 71 new wells in January 2003 (against 65 wells in the same period 2002).
