Atomic Ministry to sign protocol with Ukrainian Energy Ministry

Today the Russian Atomic Energy Ministry and the Ukrainian Energy Ministry are planning to sign a protocol on cooperation in 2003, Russian Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev declared at a news conference in Moscow today. According to him, this document will be signed at his meeting with Ukrainian Energy Minister Sergey Yermilov. The minister stressed that this protocol would envisage the possibility for its annual prolongation. The document stipulates supplies of nuclear fuel to Ukraine and returning of spent nuclear fuel to Russia. Moreover, at the meeting the ministers will consider the question of completing the construction of the fourth reactor of the Rovno and the second reactor of the Khmelnitsk nuclear power plants.
