Secretary of Pakistan's ministry of oil and natural resources, Abdullah Yusuf, has invited the Russian gas concern, Gazprom, to take part in the privatisation of the country's oil and gas companies. At a meeting with Gazprom deputy chairman Yuri Komarov, he announced that Russian companies would enjoy privileged rights in this process, the Gazprom press service has told RIA Novosti.
The meeting took place within the framework of President Pervez Musharraf's trip to Moscow.
The sides paid particular attention to issues of co-operation in the sphere of surveying of development of Pakistan's gas resources, as well as deliveries of natural gas to this country. Moreover, they discussed the implementation of the Iran-Pakistan-Indian gas pipeline project in line with Gazprom proposals.
After it turned out that Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov included the Fonbet betting company in the list of backbone enterprises that can count on state support, everyone started talking about these bookmakers.
