DeTeMobil Deutsche Telekom MobilNet sells its shares in MTS
DeTeMobil Deutsche Telekom MobilNet GmbH has sold its 36.02 percent stake in Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) to T-Mobile International AG (Bonn), the Russian Federal Commission for the Securities Market reported. T-Mobile International AG and DeTeMobil Deutsche Telekom MobilNet Gmbэ are parts of the German telecom holding Deutsche Telekom. The deal was made on December 30, 2002 based on an agreement for selling and purchasing the securities on December 12, 2002.
MTS's other shareholders are Sistema (34.74 percent), Invest-svyaz-holding (8.04 percent), VAST Ltd. (3.09 percent).
MTS is a Russian mobile provider, which services more than 6m subscribers.
