Central Bank the only large buyer of dollars at UTS

The average-weighted dollar exchange rate amounted to 31.84 RUR/USD at today's special session. Specialists of commercial banks pointed to the fact that the supply of dollars was higher than the demand and it hindered the growth in dollar quotations at the UTS. At the same time, the supply of dollars was mainly due to the selling of export currency revenues. In this situation the only large buyer of US currency has been the Russian Central Bank. According to some experts, the Central Bank purchased some $50m at yesterday's morning session. At today's UTS it bought about $20m. Dealers noted that yesterday and today the Bank had bought US currency at RUR31.8350 per dollar.
