International Construction Forum to Take Place in Yekaterinburg, June 3 through 6

For the first time, International Construction forum will be held in the city of Yekaterinburg from June 3 through 6, 2003. Its organisers are the administration of the Sverdlovsk Regionb and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

According to the press service of the Ministry of External Economic Connection of the Sverdlovsk Region, on February 20, in Moscow, a meeting the federal part of the organising committee will be held. It will be attended by representatives from President's administration, the State Duma, several ministries, the Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia's Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Gazprom gas company, and the Rosoboronexport and Roskosmos agencies.

Over 200 foreign companies from Czechia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Finland, Holland, Japan, and other countries are expected to participate. The forum will begin with machine builders exhibition at the Uralexpocentre. After that, participants will continue each in the chosen section. Some of these are 'New Technologies, Equipment and Tools in the Production and Transportation of Oil and Gas', 'The Role of Machine Builders in Assuring the Energy-saving Policies of Russia', New Technologies and Equipment for Industrial Companies; Leasing Technologies', and others.

Seminars will be held at the sites of such companies as Uralmash, Uralkhimmash, Uraltransmash, etc, allowing the participants to have a closer look at their functioning.
