More than 60% of Russian Vehicles Used for International

One of the main problems facing Russian truckers is the deterioration of their vehicles. This was announced at a press conference in Moscow yesterday by Head of the International Road Transport Union in Russia Mikhail Nizov.

He said that more than 60% of the Russian vehicles being used for international transportation do not even meet the lowest Euro-1 European standard and their use in Europe is therefore limited. Only 23% of vehicles meet this standard, Mr Nizov said, 15% meet Euro-2 standards and less than 1% of Russian vehicles meet the requirements of Euro-3 standards.
