Armenia to join WTO in February

Armenia will become a full-fledged member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on February 5, 2003. According to the press service of the Armenian Trade and Economic Development Ministry, the Ministry received a notification from the WTO leadership, saying that the accession procedure would be completed on February 5.

Armenia was holding negotiations on the accession to the WTO for ten years. The final decision on the accession was made in Geneva on December 10, 2002.
