Cambodia: Riots in the Capital
In the biggest riot for years, Cambodian mob attacked and set on fire the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh last night. Thai-owned businesses were burned and looted, at least one Thai national is reported dead.
While the Cambodian government apologized for the incident, the official Thai spokesman in Bangkok indicated that, should the unrest continue, his country is prepared to deploy its military police in Cambodia.
