Zapsibgazprom to Receive USD 44 million to Carry Out Its Investment Programmes

Zapsibgazprom a West-Siberian subsidiary of the Gazprom gas company, Russia's largest, will receive a full payment for the USD 44 million worth of natural gas supplied to Belarus. According to the company's press service, the payment was among the issues discussed during the meeting between Vladimir Zavyalov, Zapsibgazprom's General Director, and Vladimir Semashko, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the agreement between Zapsibgazprom and Gazprom, the money will pay for the company's investment programmes, such as the construction of the Obsky-1 floating drilling rig. The holes it drills will bring oil and gas from under the bottom of the Bay of Ob in the Yamal-Nenetsky Autonomous District.
