Sberbank and Moscow State University to cooperate

Sberbank and the Lomonosov Moscow State University signed a general collaboration agreement today. Andrey Kazmin, Sberbank's President and CEO, and Viktor Sadovnichy, the Rector of the Moscow State University, signed the document. The agreement is to be in force within five years. However, as Kazmin pointed out in a conversation with journalists, it is actually perpetual, as it can be prolonged by mutual agreement between the parties.

The agreement stipulates issuing banking cards with the University and Sberbank logos. A part of revenues from servicing these cards will be allocated for financing the University's library. Additionally, the bank will execute settlement and cash servicing of the Moscow State University, have its division on the campus and reserve jobs in Sberbank for University graduates.

Sberbank will pay special scholarships to students of the Moscow Sate University. During the first year of the agreement, the bank will allot 25 scholarships to students of five faculties, mainly in the economic field. Additionally, five scientific grants and two grants for the best course papers in banking will be allocated annually.
