Hyundai reports growth in its car sales in Russia

The volume of sales of South Korean Hyundai Motor in Russia reached 5,575 automobiles in 2002, exceeding that of 2001 by 2.5 times (the corresponding figure for 2001 was 2,205 vehicles).

The Russian office of the company reported today that Hyundai Accent car was the most popular model of the company on the Russian market last year, and 3,174 such cars were sold (these cars are assembled at a car plant in Taganrog in Russia). The second most popular model was Santa Fe SUV (518 such vehicles were sold).
