Russian-Armenian trade turnover rises 14.5%

The trade turnover between Russia and Armenia was $128.4m in January-November 2002, an increase of 14.5 percent from the figure reported in the same period 2001, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported in view of Armenian President Robert Kocharyan's ongoing visit to Russia. Russia's exports to Armenia rose 14.5 percent to $75.7m in January-November 2002. Russia's imports also grew 14.5 percent to $52.7m. The share of strong alcohol drinks, machines, equipment and transport vehicles increased in Russia's overall imports from Armenia. The Russian-Armenian trade balance was $23 in January-November 2002.
