Georgian Energy Minister to meet with Itera management

The possibilities of further supplies of Russian gas to Georgia will be discussed by Georgian Energy Minister David Mirtskhulava and the management of Itera, an international company group specializing in natural gas supplies. As the Georgian Energy Ministry reported, the major topic of these negotiations will be making a long-term contract whose terms have been mostly agreed on.

Georgia's debt to Itera for Russian gas supplies is nearly $100m. The negotiations in Moscow are also expected to solve the issue of terminating the activities of Gruzgaz, an Intera's subsidiary that formerly supplied gas to Georgia.
