The topics of the Russo-Japanese Peace Treaty will be discussed at the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on Friday, January 10th. This was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by informed Kremlin sources.

In Moscow's opinion, "the way to mutually beneficial solutions to complicated issues of bilateral relations could be found only provided the propulsive development of ties between the two countries in every sphere, increasing of trust and mutual understanding between the both sides," the informed sources disclosed.

"Russia and Japan now have more possibilities of approaching the discussion of the Peace Agreement in a businesslike manner, without any emotional rhetoric," the informed sources added.
