Japan ready to purchase up to 1 mln barrels of Russian oil daily
Japan is ready to purchase up to 1 million barrels of Russian oil daily, the Kyodo news agency reported on Thursday referring to informed sources.
Japan intends to buy about one fourth of all imported oil in Russia, the agency states. The decision was mentioned in the address of Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi sent to the Russian government at the end of last year.
At the same time, Tokyo offers its assistance in building an oil pipeline from Siberia to the Far East.
