Over 1100 non-Russian residents to be granted Russian citizenship

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a Decree on granting Russian citizenship to 1,102 people currently leaving outside Russia, the Presidential press-service reports.

Yesterday the Russian President signed a Decree on granting Russian citizenship to the family of Russian military Oleg Kozlov living in Tajikistan.

In the course of the President's live interview with the population the warranted officer of Division 201 dislocated in Tajikistan complained to Vladimir Putin about not having Russian citizenship. The Russian President promised to settle the matter within a week.

On Wednesday, Oleg Kozlov, his wife and their two children were granted Russian citizenship.
