Rosneft's President announces 2003 priorities

The participation in the development of the Kurmangazy deposit (the Caspian Sea) is a priority project for the Rosneft oil company in 2003. As Rosneft's President Sergey Bogdanchikov reported at a press conference in Moscow today, the company is going to streamline one of its ships on the Caspian Sea in 2003. As for other international projects, Bogdanchikov mentioned a number of promising projects in Algeria (North Africa) and Columbia. Rosneft was appointed an authorized Russian company for exploiting the Kurmangazy deposit. It will work jointly with Kazakhstan-based KazMynaiGaz on an equal basis.
