Aeroflot's Income Increased in January-September of 2002 by 6.7% Year on Year

Aeroflot Russian Airlines' income for the first nine months of 2002 increased by 6.7% year on year, totalling over USD 1 billion. As the company press office announced today Aeroflot Russian Airlines made a net profit of USD 23.8 million over this period. In this nine month period of 2002 the airline transported over 4 million passengers and 77 thousand tonnes of freight and mail.

Aeroflot Russian Airlines was registered in 1994. The company's authorised capital stock is about USD 35 million, the nominal share price is one rouble. 51.17% of the shares are held by the state. The company's net profit in 2001 totalled USD 41.3 million.
