Religious fanaticism in Kashmir

Islamic terrorists entered the homes of three girls and shot them dead after a series of posters were put up, instructing all women to wear the veil.

The group responsible for putting up the posters calls itself Lashkar Jabbar, which prohibited the women in the town of Rajouri from going outside the house without wearing the veil. This group is one of ten fighting against the Indian presence in Kashmir. This group was responsible for attacks on two women in Srinagar in 2001, when acid was thrown in their faces because they were not obeying the Moslem dress code.
