Rosneft to supply oil products to Afghanistan

The Rosneft Oil Company and the Russian-Afghan Afghan-Rosneft company signed a contract in Moscow on supplying oil products to Afghanistan. In 2003, Rosneft is to supply 2.5 million tons of oil products to this country worth about $500m. According to expert estimates, this amount is sufficient to satisfy 50 percent of the needs of the Afghan economy. Afghanistan is to pay for the oil products at world prices.
