A Siberian nearly escapes car crash seeing his wife's new year address

A man nearly found himself in a car crash in Barnaul, Siberia, upon seeing his wife's New Year wish on an ad poster.

The unusual ad poster was installed in the centre of this Siberian city this week. It features a woman in a red hat with the sign "Happy New Year, My Love!" on it. The young businesswoman chose to address her husband with New Year congratulations from an ad poster. According to the Svobodny Kurs (Free Course) newspaper, it cost her a thousand dollars.

Upon returning home in the evening, the husband braked his car at the turn to see the face of his wife Olga smiling at him from a large ad poster. He was so surprised that he lost control and nearly crashed into a pole.

Nobody in Barnaul has ever given such a gift to his beloved. Yet, Olga assumes that a lot of Barnaul residents can afford pleasing their dear people in such a way.

Many years ago, a Muscovite drew a sign on the pavement under his girl's window: "Good Morning, My Love!" Later on, bard Oleg Mityayev composed a song about the love story.
