An agreement on pumping Azerbaijani oil through the Baku-Novorossisk oil pipeline will be prolonged for another five years, Abbas Abbasov, the co-chairman of the Russian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission, told journalists today. The agreement was earlier signed by the Russian company Transneft and the Azerbaijani State Oil Company.
Abbasov pointed out that at his meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko questions of supplies of Azerbaijani agricultural products had been discussed. Moreover, they considered issues regarding status of Azerbaijani citizens in Russia and status of Russian citizens who live in Azerbaijan.
